Training Center

The future is bright for Wisconsin’s construction industry.

Located on 380 acres in Coloma, the Wisconsin Operating Engineers Joseph J. Goetz Training Center offers state-of-the-art classroom and hands-on training. The Training Center offers the only indoor equipment arena in the country, allowing operators a space to practice on heavy equipment year round! In 2022, apprentices and journey workers attending classes and upgrade training, at the Wisconsin Operating Engineers Training Center, totaled over 10,000 seats!

A great training staff, the participation of respected contractors, and strong support from the Wisconsin Operating Engineers sets this training program apart from all others! The active members of Wisconsin Operating Engineers allocate money out of their negotiated pay-raise to fund the Training Center and to ensure that state-of-the-art training is made available.

Wisconsin residents can rely on the Operating Engineers Training Center to educate the well-trained, safe and proficient workforce that is Building Wisconsin!
