2024 Spring Externship Day

April 16, 17, 18 – 9:00am to 2:00pm

Parents – We want the best for your kid too!

We understand that you want your child to be successful in life! You want to send them “off into the world” on the right path with a career that:

  • Meets his/her interests
  • Offers continuing opportunities to learn and advance
  • Financially is rewarding

Today’s construction sites require that skilled craftspeople embrace changing technology, understand complex projects, and collaborate with many people “on the team”. Apprenticeship is the educational path that prepares students for these demands. Wisconsin is a national leader in apprenticeship and Wisconsin Operating Engineers have one of the best training programs in the country.

Help your child explore a career in the construction industry and watch as we Build Wisconsin Together!

Concerned about choosing to start a career without going to college?

Don’t be! Apprentices are registered with the Wisconsin Technical College System and receive college credits throughout the apprenticeship. Your child may enjoy a rewarding career as an Operating Engineer or elect to take those credits and head back to college. Choosing apprenticeship is the first step in continuing education after high school!

Wisconsin Operating Engineers are proud to be partners in Destinations Career Academy of Wisconsin. This is the first online public charter school to offer CTE courses that allow a student to prepare for an apprenticeship with the Wisconsin Operating Engineers. Your child can earn high school and technical college credits AND fulfill apprenticeship requirements – saving time and money!
